SEMBA is looking for members to be part of a few new committees.
We are looking for 3 to 4 members for each
committee to help take some of the duties away from the Club Officers
and involve more of the SEMBA members.
The committees are as follows:
* Habitat Management: This committee will
help to keep the Nankin Mills Butterfly Garden maintained throughout the
year through organizing members to help on scheduled monthly work days,
or, by individual members working on the garden during their leisure
time. They will also help plan and build new gardens at other
areas such as schools, municipal areas, and other places along with
local garden clubs in that area. They will also manage the Garden
Certification Program.
* Publicity: This group will work with
the Publications Director (formerly Webmaster and Editor-In-Chief) to help maintain the website along
with the publishing of Nectar News editions. The groups will
provide articles that could be used for both types of media. The
group would also check and re-do all published items (Hand-outs, flyers,
etc;.) for SEMBA as necessary.
* Membership - This group would handle the Membership
applications and collect dues for the year. Other duties will
include the greeting of the members at the meetings, as well at the
printing of the names tags for the members.
